The 13th amendment
The 13th amendment was passed in 1865. The amendment was about abolishing slavery. It banned slavery in ALL of the states. This was needed because slaves were very common. Slaves had to work long hours of physical labor every day. It is connected to the 15th amendment. The 13th amendment changed the U.S. because it put an end to slavery. It also ended slave trade.
